Before We Confirm A Rental

What We Verify.

Trailer rentals are reviewed before confirmation to make sure the driver, tow vehicle, documentation, and intended use meet the requirements of the rental.

01 Driver

Renter must be at least 25 years old and provide a current, valid driver's license.

02 Registration

The tow vehicle must have current, valid vehicle registration.

03 Insurance

Current proof of applicable auto insurance is required before approval.

04 Tow Setup

Vehicle capacity, hitch setup, brake controller, and intended use are reviewed based on the trailer requested.

Security Authorization

A Safer Way To Rent.

Approved trailer rentals normally require a temporary credit-card authorization hold. The card must be associated with the approved renter and is used as part of the rental verification and security process.

The authorization is handled similarly to a hotel incidental hold and is released according to the rental terms after the trailer is returned without qualifying damage or other charges.

Standard Trailer Authorization $250

The authorization hold is separate from the advertised daily rental rate and is subject to the applicable rental agreement. A rental is not confirmed until Spears Rentals has completed its approval process.
